Hi All,
I have an odd problem with my sport which is, when you rev it up to about 2k rpm (and kill the radio lol) there sounds to be like a bubbling noise that comes from the middle, back of the engine bay. the wreid thing is that it can only be heard from inside the car
It sounds and probley only can be the coolant bubbling. I've checked the carpet around the heater matrix and alls good there.
any ideas, Thanks

Re: Odd x16xe problem
Bubbling noises are never good and are ussualy a sign of head gasket failure. As you loose compression through the head gasket it finds its way into the water channels and you get bubbles.
It may not be head gasket failure its just one sign of it.
Check for other signs of head gasket failure to make sure.
white/yellow gunk under the oil cap is a sign but cars that do a lot of short jurneys also get this.
white/yellow gunk on the dip stick
oil in your water header tank
no hot air from the heaters
have you replaced the coolant recently it could be an air pocket finding its way out but is unlikely
