Post by Gaz_McQueen »

Just wondering people if anyone has any idea how to get a crappy top paint of spray paint off the car with out damaging the underlying paint. Person tht had my car before me used bloody halfords spray paint on a small rust patch on the driver door and the paint pen on a small chip and its just not the right colour at all :(
Anyone got any ideas?
Also howe tyo get rid of the orangey colour in rust haha

use sand paper block to remove mismatching colour carefully then redo with appropriate colour. and to get rid of rust colour use rust converter after sanding away at the surface layer carefully just to remove any flakey bits.

Would it not be safer to remove all the rust to prevent it from reappearing in future?

i also had this problem and i do car bodywork, i just used 1200 wet and dry and polished over after getting rid of unessecary paint, now trying to find colour of my corsa redtop which could be polar white or glacier white, even when i spray these colours on car it still comes out darker than car, so need suggestions, but 1200 wet and dry will sort your problem out mate, then a gd polish

is the white you are after the car's original colour? If so, you should be able to find the correct colours code under the bonnet.
