Cheers for the info.
I did try to do a paperclip test in the first place but turned out it can't be done on X10XE or X12XE engines. Had to get local garage to plug diginostic computer in.

does yours have this 16 pin plug or a 10 pin plug? I'm not too sure if this is valid cos at that age would think its the 16 pin. Not sure what to suggest, Ive not come across a missing pin before
