Re: All round brake upgrade
pair of calipers
discs and pads
brake fluid (probably 4dot or 5dot)
a brake hose clamp
and a can of WD40
oh and i belive the brake servo on the 1.6i is bigger so you will need one of these too
you best bet is to rob all the bits you need from a 1.6 from the scrappers (but buy new pads)
i belive the rear brakes are exactly the same as they both have drums on the back

to be honest id go for 2.0 brakes off an old cav, that way you can get the rear drums converted to discs too!

wont the brakes be a bit sharp while it still a 1.2ltr engine, and pretty lightweight? are 2.0 straight swap for the rears then? are the 2.0 same pcd for the studs or u need to get a conversion kit of somekind?

Re: All round brake upgrade
probably be a bit sharp and if your a bit heavy with the middle peadle likly to lock the wheels
but since you now have alot more braking power you would learn to be gentle with it as it wont take as much effort to stop it
just make sure you have decent tyres too ha!
i was the same when getting my new car as it has 288s and rear discs it pulls up in a really short distance took some getting uses to as the brakes on my old corsa were like milk bottle tops!
go for a fitting kit

Re: All round brake upgrade
From what i've been told the brake servo should be the same. I asked about it as i'm fitting 2ltr calibra brakes to mine. I was told the servo is the same!
