Anyway ... going to look at a few cars this weekend after work. Just wanted to know are there any specific faults I should look for within a Corsa B?

best things to look out for first off make sure the registration documents match the car
a good batch of MOTs and service history (aswell as any MOT faliures give you a bit of idea whats going wrong)
check how many previous owners its had, if its had alot chances are its a duffer and probably worth looking elseware.
corsas are pretty resiliant and resist rust quite well but thats not to say they dont rust at all
check the doorsills and where the door joins round the wheel arches.
all corsas have engined fitted with hydraulic tappets which do make a rattle when started from cold but should die down after a few seconds
if not could be a problem.
corsas with higher milage can suffer from broken valve stem oil seals which usualy will give you blue smoke when started from cold
also the idle motor is quite a common fault, would be notisable by it idling rough, spluttering or stalling if so id walk away dont let em tell you its just the spark plugs it could be expensive to fix.
its altho worth while checking the little things like electric windows and central locking, all that sort of stuff, those usualy are the things easiest to overlook!
Cheers for that mate The one in the link got taken off last night. There are aren't many B's for sale up here at the moment. Seen a W reg envoy with 79,000 miles on Ebay but I emailed the guy and it doesn't have any service history and will need a new water pump unfortunately. Hopefully I can find a decent little corsa out there pretty soon lol
