Ahh yeah i'm just reading up on the website and vauxhall corsas 1999 - 2000 & All D models are prohibited to do your test in, unless you show proof that work has been done to correct the fault, or other documentation. So i'm looking forward to get my 1998 Corsa and do me test in that... when the time's right, of course. (Talk about being egar..)

u can only do ur practical test in a vehicle that can has a full size spare wheel, if it is one of them mini 50mph spares u cannot take the test in the car. u are allowed like 15mins to change the wheel aswell and if u not done it that quick u fail the test! at least this is what i was told by my instructor when i asked randomly one time.

What so you hav 2 fit a spare wheel and do your test, to pass? What if you dont need to change the wheel? You still have to change it?

lol...u dont HAVE to change it, but the car ur drivin is menna be carrying a full size spare wheel, although it pretty uncommon for the drivin examiner to check, unless it well obvious cos theres no rear in ur car! if u get a puncture or sumin and have to change a tyre then u are expected to know how to although u dont have to if it in a dangerous place. u might find u get a rebooking, but more than likely they fail u cos u should have avioded whateva it was that punctured the wheel.
Just ask ur drivin instructor about it, so many funny little catches like that u will learn about. learning to drive for ur test is way different to normal drivin, but it gets u well prepared for the roads. u learn to pass the practical if u learn to drive quickly rather than learning to drive e.g. like if u do a week long crash course. but thats just my opinion
