you may be better off using a hair drier. the oven may be just a little too hot. The hair drier will soften the glue, and you have more control over the various areas, so some bits may need more than others. It is legal to spray the plastic surround whatever colour, so long as the glass and the reflector isnt touched. The dark effect on my headlights is created simply through that plastic being painted.Neal wrote:I have been told it is but not sure as I have never done it but I am having a go next week as a few vectra owners have said to put them in the oven for a bit then the lenses should come off.danthemann wrote:is it easy to spray the inside of the lights? and is it legal?coz i wanted to do it on mine.
If you only paint the outer rim of the light and not the center of it then it is still legal

here we go I have done the headlights, I used the oven route, was a bit risky but it worked. The only prob I had was the tabs I have arrowed melted a bit but nothing a little bit of persuasion didn't sort out . I have arrowed the parts you have to be careful about.

Where did you get the chrome from or get them done in Chrome and if you got them done can they do anything?
I've got some parts needing to be chromed (i've tried the spray cans but comes out more chromy/silver).

Looks ok, I'm not a big fan of that bonnet, but please for the love of the almighty don't paint it in the same ghay ass colour the bonnet is! it doesn't look good at all! IMO.
