Engine and Engine Electronic Problems?

I have noticed recently that my cars engine seems to jump around when im slowing down and stopping (like its stalling but it isnt) i have also noticed that when i let my car slow down from 30mph + the engine electronics light comes on for around 30 seconds ????

I would take it round to a private car garage and get them to plug a fault code reader into your car.

I would suspect the Air Mass Flow Meter but may be wrong.
