Rev Counter ??????

Just recently put a new set of clocks in my gsi,(cable drivin)the engines a c20xe,im having problems coz when its tickin ova,its showin 5000 rpm,an when u rev its the needle goes up ans down.
Any 1 no why this is or maybe its a wire thats not been conected.????

try the voltage stabiliser on the back of the clocks! It's a little push fit device which can make the needles jump all over the place! From wot i remember it's in the bottom left corner as u look at it from the back an is held on by 1 small torques screw! Mite not b the problem but worth a try!
