Lost keys!!! What do i need?? ECU, Transponder??

Hi, ive lost the keys to my corsa 1.4 16v sport. Been told i need an ECU paired to a transponder whichh is then paired to a key, is this right? if so, does anyone know where i can get a set??? Ebays got loads of ECUs, just not all 3. Thanks.

You lost the spare as well?

The transponder is a small chip inside the key (about 1cm long), they are removable and not paired with the key as far as I know. I think you can re-sync any key to work the central locking, but the immobiliser transponder will need to be done by a specialist.

If you've lost both keys then surely a new key won't work with any of your door locks or ignition?


Could be easier just to get a replacement key off vaux

When you get a new key cut you'll need to get a specialist to reprogram the key transponder to the ecu code.

im not bothered about locks or an ignition barrel asim planning to rally the car. So switches will be fine. Its not the actual key part im qfter, just the chip inside, been quoted £150 for an unlocked ecu. Rather just get mine reprogrammed at vauxhall i think. Thanks
