Re: Stiff Accelerator Pedal
yeah i would jus put some grease on the lever, could jus be rubbing so the grease will make it go down alot more smoothly i had th problem with my clutch, lil bit of grease or wd40 works good as new, hope this helps

Re: Stiff Accelerator Pedal
I know my car had a really stiff throttle when i got it a couple of months back. The lady i bought it from had only used it a couple of times a week for short runs and so it hadn't had much use. After a few long runs though and a few hundred miles it has loosened up quite a bit but its still much stiffer than my dads 05 plate punto. I think it might just be a bit of design fault in the car. An option you could try though is replacing the throttle cable but running it for a while first might be a better and cheaper alternative.

Re: Stiff Accelerator Pedal
My corsa has a good throttle tension .... just get someone to sit in your car and push the throttle down (engine off btw lol) ..while you open the bonnet and check the cable is not catching or nefing.....check the throttle arm is ok ...Then check the springs on your throttle body ....one of these could be duff !!????...check the cable all the way from the footwell to the butterfly valve in the throttle body !!! (if you dont know what im talking about then invest in a haynes manual) lol .. good luck
Matt Neal for the championship ....woo off to thruxton next sunday !!!

Re: Stiff Accelerator Pedal
I have had my Corsa 1.6 Sport for a few years now and its always been much stiffer than any other car I have driven. Apart from a 1.4 Sport which was the same, so I think they must be like that.

Re: Stiff Accelerator Pedal
Mine was quite stiff when I got it but has loosened up a bit now. As mentioned before, it's way tighter than my other car though.
