just a quick question. how come some corsas have a pocket under the ashtray and some dont?

Because that's were the airbag module is located.

Ahhhh, thats something ive always wondered. The TC did kind of answer their own topic though but still thanks for the info. So i guess i can't just swap the gearstick plastic surrounds with my m8 then (hes got a tray he dont want and i got a flat bit which i dont want)?

so where is the module in other corsas then? and i take it the pocket center console wont fit???

Corsa's which have Airbags need an airbag module which is located behind the gear stick. So models without airbags won't have an airbag module therefor is empty space therefor can have the plastic with the storage space.

Got it in one i think. That sounds about right - my m8s car without his airbag has a tray there and mine with the airbag does not

as its been said above the airbag module on models that have airbags is always under the plastic centre piece, even if you remove the airbag module a non airbag one wont fit in its place
