where is the handbrake switch located

hi does anybody now where the handbrake switch is located (the one that puts the light on when the handbrake is on)???

im fitting a new alarm and a wire needs connecting to the handbrake switch but i dont know where it is can anybody help!!!!

the switch is bolted to the handbrake mechanism.

its a brown with white trce wire iirc

thanks for that i didnt want to strip the car down and find out it wasn't there
