black 1400 16v tidy up

Post by Adam-D »

dunno what im gonna do with this one

get it road worthy wil be a start

short list.
change gearbox. > making rattly noises from end casing.
replace fron brakes> bit poo
replace rear cylinders and bleed > shot and no fluid
light service on car.
find a set of legal, wheels and tyres
fit a exhaust system
get ready for mot

first up, bleeding the brakes

one problem

rear nipples are chocolate and twisted off :!

so

brakes were then bled, and front disks and pads aren't the best, also unsiezed the rear brake load compensator.

and after trial and error with 3 cats, 2 exhaust systems, the sportex ended up on the car.
after fixing the manifold as the thread had gone,
itll need its mount adjusting as it isnt sitting right

bloody gear selector the actual bit the stick is in was loose from the chasis!!! never ever seen that before.

today's jobs,

hopefully find some good wings.
fit new balljoint bolts on one side.
new headlight clips
get all lights working
clean inner wings
fit arch liners
