What type of wires to i need my HU to have?

Post by Jimi137 »

Hi. Im looking to buy my first aftermarket stereo for my corsa and am wondering how it could be connected. I know some people have sed on some units that they can't wire them up to some cars. Is it like this for a corsa?

Also as an aside note: how to i remove the old stereo and fit a new one? Is it and easy job or is it better getting someone who knows what they are doing to sort it?

The corsa uses an ISO harness, so if your stereo has an ISO plug it's a straight swap, otherwise you'll need an adapted cable. Ask the salesperson when you buy the stereo to tell you whether the HU has an ISO connector or not.

Thanks guys - yeh ive checked and it does come with an ISO connector so that seems pretty straightforward to fit now. Just gotta wait 3 days for the postage lol

it says
Complete with release keys, ISO connecting loom, full fitting and operating guide
so it shud be pritty straight forward mate. just take the old one out disconnect the wires and clip the new one in place.

if you have any problems just ask mate :)
