seat belts

for some time now my corsa b's two front seatbelts have not been functioning correctly. when i click them in they go in as normal and then they just click themsleves free after a few minutes i was wondering if there is a easy way to fix ie would i be able to do it myself if i could get a hold of the correct parts or should i consult a garage.

This happened to my passenger seat. Your gonna need another seatbelt clip. There is a little red plastic thingy hanging off them, when you get another one, you'll need to put the plastic thing in the slot to take it out of the car, once you put it on your seat and the seat is back in the car you need to remove it otherwise the same thing will happen again. a bit confusing i know ,but when you go to do it you'll see what i mean :lol:

Thanks i think ill just get a freind who is a mecchanic too look at it and ill pick up the parts from scrap lol saves me some time that way.

is it just the buckle part of the belt i will need to replace or the wires underneath the seats also

They're all part of the same thing. The wires connect to the pre-tensioners. Once they've fired your pretty much done.

so there is no way just to disconnect the buckle without removing the cable part?
