Compatible front speakers

Hi all,

I am looking to upgrade the front speakers in my 5dr corsa b. Have already bought the 17cm adapters as i had already bought one set of JBL fronts but found that the rear of the speaker was too wide to fit through the hole in the door, the rear clearance however was fine for the window. Quite frustrating.

Could someone recommend some speakers that they have placed in their front doors with a budget of around £40. Would not be looking to amp them although have just upgraded the headunit to a pioneer with a 50wx4 output.

same car as me Go Halfords and buy the 10cm alpine speakers sounds great and fit perfect:) also do bigger ones for you

Is there enough metal so that you can file the holes bigger in your door?

It would be a shame to let your speakers go to waste for the sake of some modification.

Exactly, i just knocked the hole out and made it slightly bigger with a hammer because there was enough metal to play around with... fits like a dream now
