c18xe into 1.7 diesel van wiring help

am converting my van into 1.8, none of the engine loom wire's match the ones on the corsa loom an all the guide's say match colour for colour any help much appricated thanks john

hi john,

your problem lies in the fact that you are trying to convert a diesel car the cars will share very little in the way of engine electrics and the clock/dash wiring will be different too and probably the ignition barrel, so im guessing a stand alone engine managment would be easier to fit,

probably not what you want too hear but it would be easier with a petrol van to start with or fit a 1.7 td instead, but if you are willing to splash out on a megasquirt system you might as well get a bigger engine (maybe a turbo) to make the outlay worthwhile.

problem solved, i have now fully stripped out inside and fitted loom from a petrol astra. ( was just hanging up in the loft so an easy fit)
