wire help

Post by ThyRosh »

right im on a tight budget at the moment with insurance to pay with no job, but i think im in need of uprated amp wires as my current ones where a mix and match set from a cheap set and a 300watt system, which could be why my car is starting to put up a fight to start and dipping the lights when i hit a decent bass level.

as it stands, i got 2400watt juice amp,
2 1200 kenwood subs and a kenwood head unit

i wanna know if this is the right set to buy

this is a 10er cheaper then my local audio shops, also, will it make the system sound better? it sounds fine at the moment but didnt know if it improves it at all, any help is appriciated, cheers people

No, it's not the wires! lol It's because your 2400 watt amp is drawing more power from the alternator/battery than it can provide and causing all other electrical components to go short of power.

Although better cables will help sound quality, you'd be better off getting 2 small power caps and fitting them between the battery and the headlights which will prevent the dimming effect.
