Corsa GLS project.

Post by sassnowwolf »

Hey all, everyone always says, "i've been a member for a while so decided to upload my project" and thats what im doing too.

Now i passed my test on January 12th 2009,and got my car on my 18th birthday on the 24th march, it was sooo annoying not being able to drive lol once you've passed but oh well!

I got my corsa GLS from a nearby dealership for £1025. It was origionally 1300 quid but my dear mother somehow managed to dwindle the price down a fair bit! The car was in mint condition with 66000 miles on the clock. The only bad points about the car was a few scratches around the key hole on the divers side, and the rusted lip on the bonnet, apart from that...perfect :D. i fell in love instantly! it was had one previous old woman owner with all service history, and the back seats had never been used as she lived alone. Sounded good so i bought it :D.

this is the only picture i have of it, and it looks in pretty decent shape eh? ;)

How do i upload images off photobucket onto here?

OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Cheers guys!, so heres my car completely standard when i first bought it, it's the only picture i have as i never intended to change it and was far to busy driving it!

Image

However n the second day drving some bell from my college decided to slam into the side of me and strip the paint and crease my drivers side quarter panel.

Image

I was also hit by a 4x4 bumper and have a ive dent in the side of my passenger front quarter panel too :/.

After a few weeks of being a member on here i decided to semi debadge the 'corsa 12v' at one side. I wanted to remove 'vauxhall' however when i started to take it off it looked like a thin layer of laqeur had started to peel so i left it be. I believe the reason for this was i had 2 massive dents sorted out that some little chav poo kicked into my tailgait! (and yes, he paid for it :D). it was all fixed in just over a day and a half with new badges.

I also slammed on a punto rear wiper ftw :) and some standard corsa back mud guards. The logo was falling off so i stripped it and sprayed them matt black untill i can get some replacement vaux badges off ebay!

Image

I found a set of smoked side repeaters cheap on ebay so snapped them up!

Image

I next purchased a rear gsi spoiler with no brake light as im terrible at wiring things up at this point! It was in very bad condition but with the rear backplate which i heard is quite rare! it was white untill i sanded it down and primed, resprayed to the colour of my car. Afte laqeuring and t cutting and polishing it just wasn't as good a finish on my car so im leaving it off untill i can afford a respray. When i get this respray ill also get a new bonnet sprayed, along with 2 front quarter panels to replace the damaged ones which i got for 20 quid! and are now standing it my garage.
