Of corse its worth it. 130 BHP over the current 45 BHP you have in yours atm ...... The 2.0ltr 8 valve is really grunty and tourquey.....definetly worth it .. especially as its for free ...these can be tuned past 150 bhp which is the standard XE figure....you're gna need new drive shafts and hubs etc ..but its all worth it. go for it :D..also the 2.0 8valve is bomb proof :)
Matt Neal for the championship ....woo off to thruxton next sunday !!!

If you don't want it, I'll have it! I'll even pay a bit for it!

Seriously! :D

is a good engine tbh. as standard they are 130@fly, and the torque is lowerdown than the XE is. They dont rev quite as freely, but they still pull well!

you wil hoever need a number of bits to get it in the car:

- 2.0 fitting kit
- adapted driveshafts and cv's
- chassis strenghtening plates
- uprated brakes
- uprated suspension
- conversion gear linkage
- various adapted hoses

and thats the things i can remember off the top of my head. its not just a case of chucking it in...there is some prep work and a bit of money to be spent.

Tbh, for what its worth...it would be cheaper and easier to put an x16xe in. but if you are willing to spend the money...do it! :)

moneys not really a problem, i cant buy it all at once but wont be a problem to buy it all bit by bit. i have access to practically any part of the cavalier before its scrapped so i think i can salvage some extra parts off that.
i guess its a go ahead then, just waitin on my gf's dad to get the parts out the cav lol :D

okay...well, you will need these places:

Chris Astley Motorsport: http://www.chrisastleymotorsport.co.uk
- Mount and spacer kit
- Rubber engine mount
- Radiator top hose (also available from Roose Motorsport direct)

LMF Vauxhall: http://www.lmfvauxhall.co.uk/store/home.php[/img]
- Conversion Short shift gear linkage

Ebay is the best place to get the radiator top hose, and there are various bits you can get from local motorfactors too.

any questions, gimme a shout and i will do my best to assist you! :)
