just been browsing round the site and found this mate

http://forums.corsa-b.co.uk/viewtopic.p ... ock#p66223
also if (like me) you fitted an after market stereo and found the date on you display goes blank, take it off and cut the wire (or remove the pin) for pin 8
this way your date should stay on when your stereo is on
but im sure i've also heard some where that this buggers up ur radio reception but am not sure

can any one thats done this before help please!!!!! :?

I had this, took me a while to figure it out.

basically, i only twigged onto it when i chucked something onto the dash above the display and "shock horror" it all came back on.....

bit later on, went off again , though "mmmmm...i wonder"......*whack*

display comes back on.

took it apart, re-seated the wires and now no more problems.

Must have just been a loose connection ^_^

I heard if you cut the red wire, it doesn't disappear when you turn your stereo on.
