I'd use different ones unless you want to get a distribution block. Then use a large cable and split it into two in the boot using the distribution block.

this is how i did mine. connect the red power cable to the positive on your battery and run this through 1 side of the car. I did mine on the left. Then connect it to your amp. The thin blue wire. The remote wire goes in the back of your stereo. You should have a wire on the stereo that says REM on it. Thats where you connect the remote wire. And the ground wire i put on my boot floor but you can put it on and bolt in the boot but just make sure the metal is shiny so it gets a good contact and the shorter the earth wire the better. I put my phono cables down the right hand side of the car as i did them in the past all down the same side and got a lot of interferance. Hope this helps

What bluecorsab says! lol

The remote wire is what turns the amp on so it's not drawing power all the time. In my mazda, my mate wired it up to my ignition key so as soon as the key is in (doesn't need to be turned), the amp powers up!

the only other thing i can think of is where your wires go into your amp make sure you aint got a small strandes of wire sticking out cus they might brigde a contact and put that light on, is everything turned down on your amp? if not turn it down and try it? it might work ya never know??
