MLI light on

My mli light has come on

Is there anyway you can reset the ecu so it goes off?
Or do i have to take it to a machanic?
It's a corsa b sxi,

could try disconnecting the battery for half hour.

Did that and the light was still on, It's also on safe mode,

will probably need to be put on a diagnostics machine then...is the car playing up in any way??
