hi i've just replaced my brakes all round pads n disks went on a treat ,first attempt at rear drums n it sort of went ok . only thing wrong is i've tightened the main nut up that the split pin goes through on the passenger side fairly tight but still enough play for the drum to still spin , stick the wheel back on , go round the block , n it works loose so i there for get that knockin noise , i know thats the cause of the knockin . the bearings are new n still in tacked .
so , any guys n gals got any ideas on what to do about this nut to stop it coming loose ?
thanx

Yes, the nut you are talking about has to be torqued to a certain amount then backed off a bit. I don't know the settings but I'm sure a manual or a bit of googling will sort that.

hi me agian . when you pump the brakes to get the fluid back round , when the cars turned off . it pumps till its proper firm . but when you turn the engine on the pedal goes back down doesn't touched the floor though . just wondered if this was normal
only i had a 106 got the brakes done n they stayed seriously firm from when they were done
