How low can i go with cav slabs?

Hi every1. Im gonna be getting some cav slabs for my corsa soon and my dads said for xmas he might get me a lowering kit for my car. I was wondering how low can i go with them wheels? As they're vauxhall they shud fit in the arches but what about hitting the top of the arches (like inside) if its too low? I regularly have a fair bit of luggage and 3 people in the back so that needs to be considered. Ive seen some 80mm rear springs for sale that look quite nice but im not sure if that wud be too low? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

well you can go as low as you want even up2 120mm drop ive sin but thats really unrelistic . i would say 40-60 will be the best . mines 60mm and is spot on in my opinion , if you have weight regulary in bk i would get a full kit with upgraded shock ( well it would be common sense anyways ) but people think its ok to just put springs on with standard shocks wich is plain silly tbh , but 60mm looks spot on with cav slabs

Nice thnx 4 the advice. Yeh obv id get a full kit - my m8s just done the springs and it handles like a bag of poo lol. Another question though - if i was gonna lower it stupid amounts 80/100mm lets say, would i need different shocks to that of a 60mm kit? Or could i just get any uprated shocks and then any length springs?

well if you wanted to lower it that much and keep the handling the best it can be id say go for some coilovers m8 . bit more but you would have a lot more dropping choice from 40-120 withought having to buy new springs if you get me .

Yeh i see what you mean. Thats the ideal but they are pretty pricey. Yet more questions then... i really am a noob at all this lol

Ive heard that some front coilover kits are so big they dont let the wheel go on properly. Would this affect cav slabs cuz i dont really want 2 pay for spacers as well?

Also a full coilover kit is pretty expensive. Like 250 quid upwards. Most of the cheap ones have coilovers at the front but adjustable height at the back. What does this exactly mean and how easy is it to adjust these?

hi yer you should have no problem with clearence but spacers are onli around £20 to buy but as i said you shouldnt have a problem cuz of the wheels ur using. youcan get coilovers for about £180 on ebay from hottunning wich are good for the price or u could get lucky and find a good second hand set the ones that are front coilovers and adjustable springs at the bk are also good the onli difference is that you wont have asmuch vary in dropping than with coilovers. they will be like 40-70mm drop wer coilover would be 40-120 if you get me.

"cough" budget coilovers "cough".....i got em on my golf n they are s*** hot so far that way yu can lower it as much as possible or however yu want it happy days i lowered mine bit too much n ripped the arch liners abit lol..

lol haha fair enough. Ive run into another little problem now tho - ive got a big bore on the back with a large cylindical backbox and with 3 people and my sub in the back it is only 6cm off the ground!

Do u think lowering it 40mm will still give it enough clearnence to get over speed bumps or am i basically screwed?

changed for a less big exhaust so it doesnt hang dwn as much?
or just hope u dnt knock it off n just scratch it to f**k
