Engine refit

Post by Louis_orr1387 »

Hi guys,

i have recently sorted with a mate to buy his 2.5l v6 calbra engine so i can put it in my corsa, basically the problem i have is that he only has an auto gear box i have no intentions of using this as it defeats the point of having a bigger engine in my car... i have looked everywhere cant find anywhere that will make me a custom gear box, does anyone have any contacts they could put me in touch with...

any help with this will be appreciated, also advice on what else i will need would be usefull too

thanks for reading

you dont need to get a gearbox made up. Use the flywheel and gearbox off a cavalier 2 letre which is a f20 gearbox. Will quite easily cope with the power of ya v6. Hope this helps :)

F23 or F28 2wd converted would be better IMO

most people r using the cavilier box (f20) and fly wheel. there is a few boxes to choose from but it all depends on the power and torque out put from the v6

IIRC the f20 can handle about 200 bhp, f23 not sure, but the f28 is 6 speed so would be better imho :)
