display panel for clock/temperature/stereo bulbs Corsa B

Post by Cl2 RSA B »

Dear All

I'm pretty new to the forum so please forgive me if I haven't posted this in the right place.

Here goes - my vehicle is a 2000 Corsa B,

Have just tried to change my heater control lights, changed for new LED's and they work.

The problem is - my display panel for the heater panel/clock/temperature/stereo is completely blanked out.

My MFD stopped working completely just after I got the Corsa. I took it apart completely. It doesn't even turn on when I turn my headlights on, like it used to. When I did take it apart, I didn't see any broken connections or pins.

I went got another MFD to see if my MFD is nackered but the clock/temperature/stereo is completely blanked out??

there's two twist-fit bulbs in the back of the unit, I just replaced those and still no luck!

but corsa has no original CDR 500 radio. it has an aftermarket head unit (enwood stereo cd player kdc-237).

which is the fuse for the clock/temperature/stereo??

what else could be wrong??

regards.

i had this problem with my corsa 1 day, my clock horn and hazards stopped working so i replaced fuse number 1 (20 amp) and it worked again so perhaps you could try that if you already haven't, also i noticed on mine when i put my lights on the clock goes a bit dull but im stil able to see it
hope this helps ollie :)

all corsa's do this when you remove the stanard stereo and put an aftermarket one it, you can stop this happening by disconnecting pin 8 (i think, not 100%) but it screws up ur radio signal.... :)
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!
