Dear All
I'm pretty new to the forum so please forgive me if I haven't posted this in the right place.
Here goes - my vehicle is a 2000 Corsa B,
Have just tried to change my heater control lights, changed for new LED's and they work.
The problem is - my display panel for the heater panel/clock/temperature/stereo is completely blanked out.
My MFD stopped working completely just after I got the Corsa. I took it apart completely. It doesn't even turn on when I turn my headlights on, like it used to. When I did take it apart, I didn't see any broken connections or pins.
I went got another MFD to see if my MFD is nackered but the clock/temperature/stereo is completely blanked out??
there's two twist-fit bulbs in the back of the unit, I just replaced those and still no luck!
but corsa has had no original CDR 500 radio. it had an aftermarket head unit (kenwood stereo cd player kdc-237).
I went out got a vauxhall cdr 500 cd player and plugged it in to me corsa b, the radio and the CD player works, but how do I get the Clock, Radio Display and the outside Temperature to work on the centre console? completely blanked out.
replaced the two bulbs on the mfd, replaced fuse 17 for the mfd radio and clocks and tried up/dowm dimmer and no luck. any advice?
do the wires need adjusting, replaced, or cut out or something?
any advice?
regards.

Re: blanked corsa b
your gonna have to check the wiring mate the time/date/temp should alsways be displayed, the backlight comes on with the lights and the date changes to radio display when the radio is turned on.
with aftermarket radios displays the date will go blank when you turn your radio on, this is solved by cutting a wire to the display. you need to have a good look at the loom and see if this has been done, and damaged other wires in the process.
