Broken Temp Sensor...What You Think?

Post by dannicoll »

Take a look at the pic below. The sensor is for the outside temp display for the MFD.

I've tried a few times to put the two broken wires together and get the temp display working again but just gives wrong readings. (e.g. -27.0 'C).

I've used a household wiring connector and tried soldering the two together and not luck. Has anyone got any ideas what they would do to fix this?

Thanks

its the multi function display in the car thats broken, mine did the same, its where the cable connect to it thats the problem, it breaks the solder on the circuit board and gives a bad connection, careful use of a soldering iron can fix it, my brother just did mine for me and its perfect now
