Ruddy Windows

Post by Jippers »

So..

sorry for this..alot of helpy questions but will contribute to anything I know of...or can help in any way..

So...as far as I can tell.. there's been alot of hash jobs done tot eh car before we got hold of.. and at some point I think something has hit the car at the site.. tehre is a horizontal dent along the driver and rear right door which has been painted shoddily.. thinking of replacing them..may even looka t overtime just modernising the car to a more than decent condition.

I'll stick photo's up of the wreck at some point.

Ok Point being....

I took the panelling of the drivers side door as the window was dropping when the handle was wound a little..

I discovered it was of one of the guides....

Now...after some tries I managed to get it back on both but it still dips off...which is where the next issue is..

I think it's the regulator..or the guide... which is bolted to the inner side of the door..it's got nothing attached to it..or running on it..it runs at an angle and is adjutable vertically in it's position in the door...

Can I assume something is supposed to be running there?

If needed I can strip of the panel and get some photo's..missus won't be too happy but hey...the car is slowly getting sorted

Why not have a look at your other window and see how it operates?
