Please Help

heya bought a 1.6 16v corsa the other day, its down as a 1.4 sport though, it drove fine for a day and a half then it the engine started to make a reli loud noise like a deisle (cant spell) and wouldnt get past 5 mph, rick open the water bottle cap and steam was peeing out, when it calmed down it looked like there was next to no water in! we topped it up waited for the engine to cool right down then started it again but it wouldnt go any faster than 5 miles an hour any ideas??? (oh and its an astra engine)


Also with it being a 1400 shell i have been told a 1.2 16v corsa engine should go in but the wiring would be tricky because it may need extending!?! any help with this as well would be greatly appreciated

what are the rev's going up too?

sounds a bit like the head might have gone - open your oil filler cap and check for mayo. if its all white and gunky then ur head gasket has blown

sounds like a heed gasket mate check foe water in the oil or oil in the water.
