don't knock ya self some girls no a lot about stuff, my mates sis is a qualified mechanic and gets right weird looks when she can answer most questions about car problems, or a lot of other stuff people need to know, she loves the job aswel.. she doesn't look like a girl that likes to get her hands dirty thou .. If only she lived closer lol get all the work done cheap on my car but i think 70 miles is a bit far to travel just to get something small done..

Traffic cops is a good program, like world scariest chases aswell lol

So what about all the range rovers that go about.....they can't do nothing if there factory fitted

It's an MOT failure and illegal some of the tints on range rovers.
The police can tell you to remove it at the road side as they are not allowed to
touch it.
Range rover are aware of it but as they are made for other countries other than the uk
they fit them anyway. It is down to the owner to question it.

Sorry to bring this back up ppl but been speaking to a copper today... (Mums, friends, fella) Was talking about tinted windows and also about law on neons and lighting... He says front side window tinting is legal aslong as 75% light can pass throu it... He says that all cars do have a standard tint to them but all good tinting companies have films which can be added to this and still be inside the law.. (you just need to check)

I have taken my car to company down road from me been quote for all rear windows limo black and 2 sides just above law at 80% light whole lot costing me £180... Need Money Now

Neil (Mums Copper Friend) did says thou what breathecosse said about range rovers and other makes is true thou... some companies will tint as standard past the legal limit and the police then do have the power to make you remove the tint at the side of the road.. if you can't remove at side of the road they have the legal power to tow your car and in extream case's i.e you don't collect car with in so many days they can now crush the car....

As for what mobiius said about 3points and a fine that is correct they can do that.. and he thinks the max fine for illegal window tints is up to £500 (Thinks)
