Re: PROBLEMS LOWERING MY CORSA SPORT CAN ANYBODY HELP PLEASE!!!
id say ur shocks are ruined
i have put custom made 80mm springs on standard front shocks and they are loose but once i have fitted them to the car the springs are now tight the weight of the vehicle will compress the shock until it touches the spring..and as for puttng spacers in that sort of defeats the object of lowering.

Re: PROBLEMS LOWERING MY CORSA SPORT CAN ANYBODY HELP PLEASE!!!
your proply better off getting new dampers that are designed for a 60mm drop. u shudnt really lower it 60mm on standard dampers cos they wont last long, they wont do much and they wont last long
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

you need dampers designed to take 60mm springs
(thats 6cm)
as the standard dampers are going to be 60mm longer than the ones designed for the 60mm springs

yes mate thats exactly wot u need. springs designed to take the stress and strains of a 60mm drop, thats why 90% of people buy the lowering kit as appose to the lowering springs.

Re: PROBLEMS LOWERING MY CORSA SPORT CAN ANYBODY HELP PLEASE!!!
depends how low you go, could probably get away with 40mm on standard dampers but they will still be short
i remeber when we did my friends rover 200 there was a massive gap between the spring and the strut top
but once it was on its wheels it was ok
