Is there a paper clip test that you can do for the x10xe engine (1.0 12v)?
On sunday night i was driving home from work down a dual carriage way and the engine light came on so i pulled over and light stayed on. Phoned the AA and after 15 minutes i though i should try if it started and it did and engine light went off so i canceled AA and went home.
On tuesday the car started juddering and then about 10 seconds later the engine light came on and car cut out. After 15 minutes it started again and engine light went off so carried on home.
Then tonight the engine light came on coming down the dual carriage away again.
Any ideas what the problem may be?
Cheers

aslong as there is a terminal in the number 6 data link connector (DLC) then you should beable to test it, if not you need diagnostics, but with it bein a corsa b you should be ok.
Drive it like you stole it

Re: Engine problems
Got it on a diagnostic and it came the Egr valve is malfunctioning. Ordering one monday, costs 86 quid. Any idea where this is located on the engine?
This wouldn't have anything to do with my engine taking a few seconds ticking before it starts? Or would this be a new starter motor?
