Do you think a panel filter is better than an induction kit?

perosnaly, yes i would say so
induction kits tend to suck in hot air from around the engine bay and saps power from the engine
not all induction kits do this, some have a plastic surround or air dams to help prevent this

personaly id go for a green panel filter and drill the airbox :)

Well i had an apiro enclosed induction kit with a huge cold air feed and although the power was about the same as my k&n panel filter ion a derestricted box the torque was massively improved. With that induction kit i could cruise at 1500 rpm easily where it was about 2200 before. each to their own - panel filters are great on a budget but an enclosed induction kit and cold air feed is better if you can afford it

Cheers for the feedback lad's, i knew ya could get induction kits with the heat shield on them but they have always looked expensive so thought about a panel filter. Could be the way i go now!

yer tbh the best thing you can do is get a upgraded panal filter k&n or greencotton(im using) drill a whole in the bottom of the filter box and run 3-4ich air feed into it , works much better than any aftermarket induction, :)
