Arent sunroofs so cool, why dont cars have them anymore

wot was the point of them, they just ended up leakin any way
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts :rant:

The main reasons cars dont have them any more is tht the seal often leaks causing many problems, They also weaken the structure of the car.

they dont put them in cos the weaken the structure. and they leak.

Just for a change it weakens the structure. If youv'e ever been in a car that has rolled you'll know why.
Most modern cars have the option of aircon now so no need for the sunroof.

adds more weight as well as weakening the structure..and they tend to leak dont they?

My corsa one never leaked. But i thought it was really cool. nothing beat cruizin around in summer with the sunroof open. Nice and drafty plus a hell of a lot cheaper than air con

yes jimi but just think how muc weaker your cars structure is, compared to the rest of us. :lol:

i think mainly its cus its an £800 option or id have had 1

haha well it withstood a 50 mph+ impact and i walked away from it so its not that weak lol. And it looks gd so i dont care anyway lol

well yur all wrong because you can get a full glass roof in a renault senic and in the ford galaxy and there like tanks so they dont weaken the structor you can still get sun roofs in new fiestas too
