hi
i a new here and would like to say hi to everyone and i hope i have posted this in the correct place.
i have a p reg corsa premier 1.2 and i keep leaving the headlights on, i think it is because when i open the door there is no beep noise and i just wanted to ask if it supposed to have one and if yes how could i fix mine and if no is there a way of fitting one.
another possible fix would be to stop the lights working when the car is off could that be easier to do.
thanks in advance
Simon

Re: headlight beep
Does your courtesy light come on when the door is opened? The lights on buzzer and the door courtesy lights are linked. Check the switches on the door pillars are working.

Re: headlight beep
yes mate its suppost to.
checking its simple if you open the door and look next to the hinge you'll see a little push switch, when you press it your courtesy lights shud go off. if not unscrew it clean it. the screw that holds it in place also acts as the earth (i think) so check its making good contact with the body. also check for loose wires.

OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts
Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Re: headlight beep
In this case the push switches would be depressed(stuck) for the buzzer not to work and also the courtesy light won't come on.
If the light comes on then its most likely the buzzer itself which is found behind the fusebox just above the drivers footwell.
Third unit from the left in the lower bank of relays.

Re: headlight beep
Hi I also have 1.2 p reg premier.
They do not have a lights on warning buzzer as I have also left my lights on before, I went to a crap yard and got the buzzer relay out of another corsa and put in mine but the wiring isn't there for it. I have checked the wiring diagrams and it seems there are two types of push switches for the drivers door, one has an extra wire for the light on warning buzzer. Next time i go to the scrap yard im getting the other switch and the extra bit of wiring to link it to the fuse box and relay.
