1.2 16v head gasket

Post by aimable455 »

hi all my head gasket went when water pipe came off and car over heated, and was wondering how hard is it to change on this engine.
my brother used to change his nova but that was 8valve with cam belt and mine is 16v with timing chain and the garage said im looking at over 500 note.

if anyone has some usefull information i would grately apreciate it

many thanks steve :(

most people tend to replace the engine.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

Back street mechanic would be a hell of a lot cheaper than that, I'm guessing £200 taking into account the head will need skimmed and pressure tested.
