bonnet wnt open

i put my red bonnet back on today, lined up fine so shut it. realised i didnt put the scuttle back on went to open it and lo n behold it wnt open.

ive tried playing with the bonnet release handle and pulling the cable my hand (nt using the handle) and no joy.

im goin to go to the scrappy asap and get a new bonnet but how am i going to get the old bonnet off?

just crowbar it off?

i had this problem when fitted mine..means its not lined up properly...

the way i had to open mine was to get someone to hold the bonnet release handle right up..then you hold the front catch up and push down hard on the bonnet and just be aggressive with it and it should pop open.

tried that mate going to take the cable off and fiddle with it 2mrw if tht dnt fix it crowbar it is

it worked for me lol,just gotta be agressive,and make sure the other person holds the handle right up.

i had the same problem when i put my bonnet on , i just done what dan said an it opened

ive fixed it now a lot of brute force did the trick and wd40'd it up
