engine rattle

engine rattle
got a rather annoying rattle on the inlet cam from 2000 to limit, all the caps are tight and the cam is fine could it be a bad hydraulic lifter? and if so how do i find out which one it is? and would a oil flush and change maybe help? thanks

yh it could be a bad lifter, try a oil flush, then some nice new oil and see if it makes a difference, if not then you probably want a new set of lifters

yeah ill try that in new year is there anyway of finding out if it is the lifters first before i have to take cams out etc? dont wana strip it down to find its not them? anyone?
