wheels and lowering

Post by Corsa84 »

hi,im new to the forum and this is my first post so be gentle lol!

Ok ive just bought a 2000 w corsa 1.2 16v 3 door.I would like to get it lowered no more than 40mm with 15inch alloys.Im assuming that this sort of drop on 15's should not cause any rubbing etc?

I guess 195/45/r15 tyres are needed?

I would be ever so grateful if any one could post a pic of a 40mm lowered 3 door with 15's.

I apologise if this has been asked a billion times already! :shy:

Reason i would not want to go any lower than 40mm is cost, potholes and keeping the car practical as i have to use it everyday.

Thanks in advance and Happy New Year! :D

have a look in the FAQ mate am sure theres a guide.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts

Thanks to everyone for an awsome weekend at pvs!

yeah i did and i went for it mines on coilovers at the front so it cud go lower. its not as in practical as people think as long as you get a decent kit, i have to drive over 6 sets of speed bumps and poo pot holes to get in to my estate and i dont have any problems.

the main thing is to make sure u get the right offset :)

yeah i suppose by the time u get 2 kids in the shopping and wot not in, 40mm would be the better option. if u lower it 40 and then put the 2 kids in it will probly lower it to 60mm any way

IMO,theres not point in havin a good lookin car that u cant use. but its ur car.

thats the reason i said 40mm.

I f i were to put some standard vauxhall alloys on,perhaps cavslabs, then would there be any probs?i would not have thought there would be any issues.

would 195,45,15 tyres be ok?

Cheers for all the help.
