Re: Snow :P
Last Monday, I had to pick the wife up at Luton airport. Set off at 4.30pm from St Helens and arrived at Luton at 10.15pm! The motorway was stopped!
I love the snow and can drive almost normally, but it seems like I'm one of a very few! People just seem to be petrified when they see white roads!
My wife's flight was delayed so when I got to the airport she had not landed. All the arrivals were cancelled except for two flights and hers was one of them! After waiting for an hour and watching this board telling me she was due to land 50 minutes ago, I got a call from her to say they had landed in Sheffield!
So... It was back in the car, sliding up the outside lane of the motorway for another 140 miles! Eventually got there, collected her and got back to St Helens at 5.30am! That was 12 hours of driving and 1 hour of waiting!
On another note... I have done this trip to Luton a few times in the 12v Corsa. It goes like a sewing machine if you don't push it and it's doing about 50+ to the gallon on the motorway (in normal conditions).
Anyway... Since then, I've been enjoying driving around back roads and car parks, having a ball with the handbrake!
