Steering Rack ?

My son's Corsa B failed its MOT today, and it needs a new steering rack. So, rang up my local parts shop, and they asked what kind of rack it was, manual, hydrolic or electric ? How do i tell as there seems to be a huge difference in price.

is it power steering? if not its manual. if it is do you have to put power steering fluid in if you do its hydraulic, if it is power steering but you dont put fluid in its electric
