heater control panel (FAO matty101)
ok so today i replace my MFD led's and now thats working fine however all my heater control led's have blown too,now ive read the guide in FAQ'S and im a lil unsure of something so here goes....
when you remove all 4 screws, heater control knobs and slider bar thing,in order to get at the led's behind the heater control panel what do i have to do?
according to the guide in the FAQ'S the black panel just pulls off without the need of disconnecting all the ,metal cables that control heater settings and also the multiplug but ive tried to ''pull it off'' and it wont budge, all that happens is the whole unit just comes forward.
sorry for rambling but i really want to get the rest of my leds working!!!
cheers.

Re: heater control panel (FAO matty101)
yeah once the black covers off you can see all the LED'S and change them, i think you might be trying to pull the white panel off aswell as the black one.
u done that bit.....(i forgot to put it in the guide but i'm sorting it.)

Re: heater control panel (FAO matty101)
i got as far as unscrewing 4 screws, disconnecting all knobs, liffting MFD away, the the whole heater unit just came forwards so i tried to pull the black fascia off but it would not budge.

Re: heater control panel (FAO matty101)
i dont know without disconnecting all the cables and multiplugs but the cables are a reyt fiddly job coz the are all tensioned, abit like caliper brakes on a push bike, and they are only held on by bits of plastic and knowing me if i took it all aprt id end up not getting it back reyt.
i think it must just be me then, maybe not pulling hard enough, that sounds wrong lmao,u know what i mean

Re: heater control panel (FAO matty101)
ok mate,i finally managed to separate the black fascia panel from the control panel behind it,to get to the bulbs! after unscrewing the four screws the whole unit comes out but the fascia panel is held on with some plastic tabs,3 on the top and 2 at the side,so i had to depress those to get the black panel of to get to the bulbs.
so i dint need to dissconect everything, phew.
and u were right about putting it all back together! what a ballache lol.
ahh well its sorted now and looks better, plus i can see what im doing in the dark with the dials!
cheers mate.
