if a corsa has the 2l init and its still registerd in its factory status say lie 1.2. and the cops pull you over whats the worst that could happen? as seen few cars on pistonheads and there like that but want to know what happen if the new buyer gets caught. will the police take it and crush it or fine you heavily? (spelling)

Re: 2l
if pulled or crashed and they find out its a 2ltr and its down as a 1.2 , you will be arrested for , invalid insurance,tax,m.o.t , you will eighter get a ban or big fine and the car will be crushed as your driving it without an m.o.t

IF they can prove you knew it was a 2.0 and not a 1.2 lol..my mate had a 2.0 registered as a 1.4..and when pulled he said he bought it like that and doesnt know much about cars so assumed it was a 1.4..all they did was make him either take it off the road or register it as a 2.o...think it all depends at the time really.

Re: 2l
by law you are required to register the new engine cc i suppose its worse if your going up in engine sizes obv its more survior as you need to prove your brakes ang gear box etc are capable to run with the engine you've put in you'd probs be best just registering it as what it now is they'll just ask you to take it to an MOT bay for inspection (my dads done it before so i know how it works) and they check over all the mechanical bits etc check its capable of stopping etc and then your free you use it otherwise your insurance MOT tax etc are void

The guy had stealth corsa c - Redtop
A guy was pumping up his tyres at a petrol station when the police officer asked him to move but the guy said along the lines of "I am almost finished,i wont be no longer than a minuite" So the officer said "Ok,a minuite" ..........So the guy finished pumping up tyres and stormed off like an idiot so the copper decided to pull him for dangerous driving. While copper was there he was a "Vauxhall Enthusiast" and checked underneath the bonnet and obviously knew it werent meant to be there so checked log book and insurance and obviously was still registered as a 1.2.So we had to come and pick it up and crush it after 14days as the guy didnt come forward for it.
