De-badging pre facelift grille

Hi guys new to this site an new to corsas, soz if it been asked before. but got the old style front bumper with attatched badge, was wonderin if i could chop the grill to fit a de badged slatted one? or would that make the bumper too unsturdy?? anyone done it before?

I've completely removed the middle of mine and it's fine.

what kind of holes does it leave cutting it out?? worth filling or will a plain grille cover it?

u cud always just get the newer shaped front bumper with the changeable grill.
OFFICAL DVLA DATA:
1414 - corsa gsi's on the road in 2008.
735 - corsa gsi's currently on the road and 436 SORN
Basicly you would have to be a right tw*t to break one for parts :rant:

On the top opening of the grill the horizontal bar will leave a hole on each side that will need filled. In the lower middle of the top opening another hole will need filling, this one needs more attention. I would rivet a plate on the underside of it before filling as the filler sinks otherwise.

Yep, you can see where the filler has sunk. Mines the same. Doing a lot of work on the car now so I'll get it sorted.

i didnt filler mine..jsut left em as i always planned to put facelifts on.
