C20XE Conversion driveshafts

Post by jayybull »

i have been told that you can use the 2l shafts with the 2.0l inner cv's but need to change the outer cv's. what 1s can you use in junction with the 2.0l shafts?
or how do you make the driveshafts to work wit a f20 gearbox ?

theres loads of different ways you can do it

corsa gsi 22 spline shafts and use inner cv's off a 1.6 mk2 cavalier so will fit f20 box =, this is the easiest way but can only handle about 200bhp
2 litre conversion shafts with conversion hubs, can handle upto 300-400 bhp, people use these on c20let conversions
seen another way aswell, use a cavalier equal length shaft on the drivers side and a vectra short shaft on the other side with 2 litre hubs. but this requires some modifications to the shorter shaft as its a bit too long (about 15mm) juat need to recut the groove for the circlip and shorten the shaft

hope this helps, need any help just ask, doing a conversion myself so may be able to help

for the equal lenght shaft option, you can buy the small gearbox side shaft and go with it. did that on my tigra, works great!
