okay so having bought the alpine 13cm speakers from halfords at £34.99 all i can say is they are utter pants,i would not recommend them atall.very tinny and lack of base,mid and treble and overall just sound very poor.So i took them back and told them they were faulty and i got my money back.i was tempted to take my money and go elsewere but i decided to go for these:

what a amazing pair of speakers! they come with tweeter's too and crossovers.They sound MINT and look MINT too!I would happily recommend these to anybody!They have a wicked base and the tweeters provide excellent treble!
Im that impressed im gonna buy some matching 6x9's of ebay,as halfords dont stock these,however they do stock 2 sub/amp packages in this brand!
I belive they are made by Vibe,but are badge'd up as Edge?
Go out and buy these speakers now!
Just bear in mind that they have a very high RMS and i would not recommend connecting any 6x9s to your radio with these as your will probably damage ur headunit coz of all the power.Im gonna amp my 6x9s when i get them.
