your bump strips really easy to take off only glued on.warm them up a bit and the bonding comes off easier if your speedo stats at 0 its electronic could be the connection on the box or the drive itself

well the needle just sits on the little stub thing, so just before 0. reckon it could be a fuse or something? it was working 1 second. pulled up had a fag pulled away, wasnt working.:S . ah right thanks:) it looks so much better with out those strips. when u say heat it up what should i use? knowing me id end up using a heat gun and taking the paint off the car

yh just use a heat gun but not to hot and dont get too close to the paintwork.......i dont think the speedo is fused mate....check the connection on the back of the clocks and the one on the speedo drive on the back of the gearbox...if not that then its the speedo drive in the gearbox itself which has packed in :)

Quite often its just the clocks on the car which have packed in - try going scrappy and getting a set (really easy to detach just make sure u get the electronic ones that start at 0mph not the mechanical ones that start at 10mph) and see if that fixes the problem. Dont worry about the milage being wrong - it can easily be adjusted.

And the strips yeh a heat gun or hair dryer will work just be careful. Also the glue under the strips is a bitch and takes hours of scrubbing to totally come off. Oh and if its an older car then the paint will be a slightly different non faded colour under the strips so u need to t-cut the door to make it blend in :)

If it is the fuse the whole speedo/rev/petrol and warnings lights woudn't work. The hole instrument panel would be dead.
